A clear blue sky falls on the bright green hills of the Briones Regional Park in Lafayette, California. The scene looks relaxing and peaceful...just like YOU'RE going to feel after a session with us. :)

Knead Qi?

Qi is the energetic life force that helps balance and nourish us. Qi flows through us and around us, protecting us, supplying us with vitality and health. Qi normally flows freely, but can get blocked, become stagnant, or get depleted as life’s demands accumulate.

Bodywork can help restore your body’s Qi.

Knead Qi offers bodywork techniques based on the Qi meridian system of Traditional Chinese Medicine. By working with the physical body, releasing muscle tension and increasing mobility, Qi will flow more naturally.

By combining techniques from Shiatsu, Tui Na, and Acupressure, we hope to revitalize, relax, and restore your Qi to help rebalance your body and mind.

Shiatsu

This bodywork style from Japan uses slow, deep compressions and long, gentle stretches to tonify and disperse Qi along the body’s meridians.

Tui Na

A faster paced modality of massage from China that emphasizes movement and rhythm, along with stretching and joint mobilization to give you a relaxed yet energized session.

Acupressure

By using the same meridian lines and acupoints as acupuncture, acupressure aims to balance and nourish the body’s energy system. It is a wonderful compliment to physical bodywork.

An Individualized Approach

Everyone is different. Knead Qi will work with you directly to develop a bodywork plan.

Whether you’re seeking relief from an injury, muscle tension, tightness, or mobility issues, or just want a relaxing, restorative session, we will listen to your needs and build a plan that suits you.
